Missing in Action

Scissors to the crotch! Yikes! However, many men do it – to the crotch of a Speedo that is. You see, there isn’t much to a Speedo. It’s not like they use a lot of fabric, and this small amount of fabric makes them very revealing – that’s part of their charm. Manufacturers try to combat this revealing nature by strategically placing a little extra fabric, usually just in the front – a front panel -- that will keep any revelations to a minimum. It is kind of like putting a lead shield in front of a sexy girl to prevent an over-sexed Superman from using his x-ray eyes to catch a glimpse of Lois Lane through here clothing. This front panel is usually sewn in only at the top and bottom, and can be easily removed with scissors. Why cut up a perfectly good suit? I have difficulty bringing myself to do it, and usually don’t, but hey, let’s face it, a Speedo without the front panel, especially a wet one, well let’s just say it can make an ordinary man look like a superman.

Sometimes cutting the lining out of a speedo can help if the suit is just a bit on the small side. This usually frees up some of the "stretchiness" of the suit helping with roominess. Depends, of course, with if you need a lot of room up front, but I've found that you can safely take out the lining of darker suits and improve the comfort level dramatically.
