Worn Out!

I’ve mentioned before how the Lycra/Spandex Speedos can deteriorate, get stretched out, thin, and faded. I’ve mentioned before how I can’t bare to get rid of any Speedo no matter how worn out it is – even if it is no longer useful as a rag for wiping things up. I’ve mentioned before how I like the team panel style suits. Have I mentioned before that I love the color blue? Well, here are all those mentions in one picture. This is my oldest, most worn out, stretched, and thin blue Lycra/Spandex Team Panel Speedo. It is worn out, but should I dare wear it out in public ever again?

Those worn out speedos, when wet, really drap nicely! They do not conceal much at all - wear in in public - but just pretend you don't know it's worn out!

Hi Dan: Have read you comment about your speedos and like myself, am glad to hear that there is someone else is into speedos as myself. Love speedos. They make you feel sexy and most of them make you look sexy. Regardless, if they are made out of polyester, spandes or lycra. Love the spandex the best. They are so form fitting. Keep up the good work on your site.

I realize this is an old blog entry I am responding to, however it brings back such vivid memories of some very hot sightings. I used to swim work in L.A. county near a community recreation center and I would spend my lunch hour swimming laps. At first I was very self-conscious about my pool attire, mostly because I would go with a fellow co-worker. However, as time went on, and I got leaner and more defined, I made the transition to a speedo. I was very nervous and practically ran towards the pool so as to minimize the time that others could see me. In time I grow more comfortable and would even take my time to slowly walk to an empty lane so I could watch reactions. There were several other men that would go to the pool and a few of them had rather hot bodies. However, my biggest surprise came the day that a newcomer started swimming with us. He came out of the changing room, slowly walked to the pool and before his blue suit had even touched the water, it already seemed rather opaque! I was so intrigued by this, I kept an eye on him the whole time I was swimming laps. The end of my lunch hour was fast approaching and I feared he would still be in the water when I had to leave, when suddenly he came out of the pool to reveal what I had already suspected. His blue worn out speedos were almost COMPLETELY see-thru! There was nothing left to the imagination and this man not only knew it, he flaunted it. And with good reason. Sad was the day when he switched to a newer, though already worn, speedo in maroon. However, it did not take too many weeks before that one too became rather sheer. After watching him parade himself and his worn speedo, I lost all fear of what other people's reaction would be and embraced the simple fact that people either don't care or they like it. That is what saved my blue speedo from being tossed out once it became see-thru. And the added benefit to it was that I managed a decent tan on the "covered" areas probably because they were so sheer. So, if you still sometimes ponder this subject, Dan... HANG ON TO THEM. USE THEM... Nobody has yet said anything to me about my sheer speedos and I'll continue to wear them until they do.
