Sometimes a bargain is just too good to pass up. I find a swimsuit – it’s made by Speedo, but it is square cut; it’s got a weird pocket in front that looks like it should be on the back; and it is 3 sizes too big – but I buy it anyways, well, just because I am crazy and it was so cheap. I got it a long time ago when I had cash to burn. I wouldn’t do it these days because, among other things, I have achieved some restraint, but also, my stash of suits is so big I can’t even remember the really hot suits I have not to mention the ‘mistakes’ that I purchased on a whim. Hmmm maybe some day I will decide to put on 40 lbs and this one will fit. Hmmm, if that happens, most of the suits I have now will be too small. Hmmmm, maybe I should go out and buy some more that are too big for me. Hmmm, take the medication Dan, take the medication....

A fellow speedo addict here. I often find myself buying items too small ora too large only because the fabric looks and feels good.
Yeah, I also buy bargain suits that aren't 100% what I want. I just can't stop myself! The good news is that I can usually use them as "sacrificial suits" for lap swimming. That way, I save my favorite suits for special occasions and they last longer! --Espion
