Moldy

So here is the front of the Hind suit. I mentioned how it molded in the rear, so here is the example of how it molded to the front. This suit was one of the few polyester suits I have had. I don’t think they make them anymore. It was very comfortable but it sure hugged the body as the fabric started to thin out. I don’t know if you can see what I am talking about. I will look if I have a closer picture. The fabric was kind of getting transparent at that point too.

Rear Seam

As you can see from the post of yesterday, this particular swimsuit has a rear seam. Why some suits do and some don’t, I am not sure. If I ever run into Tim Gunn I will ask him. It does, obviously, in this suit at least add to the shape back there, but the fabric was disintegrating in this Hind Speedo and it tended to mold well to all shape underneath regardless of the seam. I’ll show you what I mean with a front view in the next post.

I have a lot of old pictures of my self from when I was younger. Just a couple of years, but some of the suits I am wearing are long gone now. I thought I might post a few of them.

This was a really nice suit. It is featured in the very first picture of the blog and in the picture showing suits of different materials. I haven’t had a big picture of it as far as I can remember so the next few post will show it in it’s past glory.

These are the same pair I featured in the posts of 9/8/05 and 9/15/05. The suit was fine then so in four years they have died and become too stretched. Of course I can’t bare to throw them out. Maybe I should be called CrazyDan. Perhaps I need a psychiatrist. :-)

Well my muscles shrunk. Nothing else. Phew. Working on getting my shoulder better. Mentioned that I had hurt it when I posted the pic of me in the Jammers. Doctors haven’t figured out what is wrong yet. Just hope I don’t need surgery, but my muscles have shrunk since I can’t work out as well. Boo Hooo. I just have to make sure I can still fit in all my gear. It is hard to keep up the pace at the gym when I can’t go all out. I have let my abs slip a bit, but maybe a belly hair trim will do show them up better. I will take a pic and see if the experiment works.

Schick Xtreme 3

Hooray for Schick! Have you seen the ad for the Xtreme 3? OK, not a huge fan of disposible razors because it adds to the land fill, they have have guy in a Speedo shaving down and then swimming so fast he pops out of the pool at the end of the lane. A man in a Speedo in prime time and he isn’t the butt of a joke because of his type of swimwear. Yay!

Tan Through

I have always been curious about the tan through clothing items out there. I know that they allow you to tan though the fabric because it is basically see through, but the intricate pattern distracts the eyes from seeing what is underneath. I just wonder how they feel. The men’s items probably don’t have liners in the front. Are they very supportive? When you are tanning do you have to be careful not to burn your privates? Someday I will get one or two items, but for now, I am too in love with my tan line to jeopardize it with a flashy suit.

I haven’t posted new pix in a long time, so here goes. This is from back in September 2008. I injured my shoulder a few months before that. My workouts have really fallen by the wayside. I am in the process of getting my shoulder fixed, but when I post a pic from last month in the next few days, you will see how I have lost some muscle mass. :-(

These are Speedo Jammers. I mean they look all right, but Jammers have ruined the sport of swimming. I mean sure they allow for faster swimming than briefs, and faster speeds are fine, but looking hot is more important! :-)

“Baywatch” wasn’t much my style. For some reason they featured a lot of sexy swimsuits, but they were mostly on women, but occasionally one of the hot guys would wear a suit that would do his body proud. The YouTube clip below is certainly more to my liking.

Now if that is what the show was about, I would have watched all the time. Sorry Pam Anderson, but you never filled out a Speedo that well.

Funny, I just found out that the site eHow, you know, the site that tells you how to do everything, actually has a page explaining how to buy a Speedo. Step 4 was the funniest. It suggested that you get a lined suit because “You are not going to want to put your package on display for everyone to see.” Oh really? LOL

The Stars and Stripes! Ahhh! Sweet, sweet Speedo. Mark Spitz, 1972, and Dan becomes SpeedoDan when he sees the Olympian in that suit. Young as he was, that look made an indelible impression on the eight year old and he has loved Speedos ever since.
Yeah, that is me, defined that summer watching the Olympics; and as the Olympics approach this year, when the swimmers will be all covered up in the new style of swim suit (thank god for the divers!) and at the Forth of July I am posting this pic of me in the style Speedo that changed the way I view the world. (Goodness, this all sounds so pretentious, LOL.) Anyway, this it the modern version, not the nylon style they had back in ’72, but it is the best I have. And I love it!

Here is another worn out Speedo. I first posted a pick of it on the Fourth of July, 2005 due to it’s Red, White, and Blue colors. Such fashion sense! LOL Well, here it is almost 3 years later. I probably hadn’t worn it since. When the suits get stretch out like this they tend to cover more than I like, disturbing my tan line, but also, as you can see, they leave less to the imagination. Now in all honesty, do you think it is too reveling in the front region? I mean by common decency standards, not leering piggy standards, which I have. Would I get arrested walking around a public beach in this?

On 12/22/06 I posted a pic of me in this same pair of Spalding underwear. I had trimmed my body hair badly the day I took that pic. This new pic has better body hair, but I put the underwear on today and felt the elastic in the waistband start to crack. They won’t last much longer.

Unfortunately, I would get fat again. On November 20, 1999 I decided to take a picture of myself and do that every week until I got in shape. Well, it was so slow going I gave up taking the pictures, but here is the first one.

This is just a yellow version of the same kind of string bikini I have on in the post of 8/25/06. The old pic was taken just before I started getting tendonitis. Ugh, it has been a long road back. My dear dear friendly digital camera has died. We had been through so much together; bad lighting, a temperamental tri-pod, dust on the lens; and then all the good times that he captured with his expert eye. He was always so kind to me, never hesitating to delete when a Speedo was bunching wrong, or if I looked fat. Thank god I have a backlog of his work to post, but until I find a replacement, we will all have to just cherish the memories. Rest in peace friend...

Tax Injustice!

There was an article in the New York Times today about tariffs on clothing. I read it because they had a picture of a sneaker, a shirt, and a SPEEDO! Apparently, since the 1800’s the US government has been charging different tax rates on clothing based on whether it is made for men or women. There are several lawsuits now claiming discrimination. There is no rhyme or reason to the disparity. Sometimes women’s clothing gets a higher tax rate as in the case of sneakers – 10% for women’s and 8.5% for men’s even if the shoes are identical. In the case of bathing suits – be prepared to be outraged – 11.8% for women’s; 27.8% for men’s! OMG, my Speedo fetish is financing our government! They should put me on the dollar bill! LOL

What’s The Point of Swim Jocks?

They make ‘panty’ lines if you wear them under a Speedo. It is more fun to ‘free ball’ if you wear trunks. They don’t hide ‘arousal,’ in fact they can add to it. I don’t know of any place where you could swim with just the jock where you couldn’t be nude too. I just don’t get it, but they are fun to wear when not swimming. I like them better than regular jocks, but what is their purpose?

Remember the Blue Dot?

Remember the blue Dot the news media used to employ during televised trials to hide the identities of witnesses and victims? He had his biggest gig in the rape trial of one of the Kennedy Clan. The news either shows everybody in those trials or they just blur the faces now. Poor Blue Dot, out of work -- well not anymore! I had to hire him for this picture of me in these Markwort brand Lycra shorts. I didn’t realize, in the bright sun, they showed all my stuff! Good old Blue Dot saves the day on this PG-13 site. He’s actually quite comfortable down there. Says it was far more pleasant than anyone's face ever was.

Back In Time

Oh, if only I could go back in time! I thought of this post to address the fact that I neglected to say what I was wearing in the posts of 12/29, 12/30, and 12/31/2006. In order, they are and old purple 78% Nylon/22% Spandex Speedo brand suit (style # RN54934); a red jock (no tag and I can’t remember where I got it); and a very old (the material is perishing) 78% Nylon/22%Spandex Speedo brand (style # RN54934).

The pictures mentioned above were taken before the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. The below picture was taken last week (me wearing an ‘Island Force’ pair of 100% Polyester boxers). You may notice that my abs are not as defined. I ate too much and barely went to the gym over the holiday season. It was only a 2 week period where I didn’t keep up my gym and diet routine, but the effects still linger. I will get them back, but wouldn’t if be nice if I could go back in time and tell myself not to eat so many ginger bread men? Uhg!

I wish I qualified as a bodybuilder, but alas, my body is not built to get that muscular without chemical enhancement. I am not going there, so fortunately I can pretend in this small bodybuilder Gold’s Gym Tank.

BTW – the boxers in the posts of: Dec. 23, Dec. 24, and Dec. 25 were, in reverse order of appearance just to be silly - Surrey brand, 100% silk (that is supposed to be a head of view of Rudolph’s nose); Joe Boxer brand, 100% cotton; and finally, 100% Cotton Flannel made by Dr. Suess (that is what the tag says – go figure.)

My favorite pair of Jockey Low Rise Fly Front Briefs used to be a stunning Royal Blue, but they got mixed in with the whites, and the bleach turned them lavender! I guess I can wear them on gay pride.

It isn’t possible to have too much, but I am having trouble keeping track of the ones I have posted. I have three pairs of Nylon fly front briefs (well, I think only three) and I am pretty sure I have shown the white and the navy blue ones, but I can’t remember if I have ever shown these light blue ones made by Jockey. I took the pic last month, so at least that is new.
